Starling LoveHawk T-Shirt

Designed by LoveHawk, our new t-shirt is inspired by the artist’s love of Starlings and his own Starling Beady Little Eye.

David makes bird-inspired work, and once rescued and rehabilitated a baby European Starling, which spent two years with him before returning to a flock.

He makes work for print, using hand-carved wood blocks as well as designing murals for local businesses and tattoos. He’s also a Beady Little Eye owner, which he has custom-painted with his own designs. You can read more about Love Hawk on their website.

David, Emily, Crow, and Autumn spend almost all their time together, continually finding new sources of inspiration and creativity.  While David does the majority of the hands-on process of making the art, every member of the family plays a role in the act of creating together.  The Hales live in a beautiful woodland cottage on a small creek in Athens GA, where they repurposed a barn into a small studio for creating art; lovingly called the “Budio.”

The Love Hawk features a unique Starling-inspired back print and has been screen-printed by hand in Bristol by Carillion Studios.

We’ve used a medium-fit, 100% organic cotton t-shirt that’s Vegan, GOTS, Fair Wear, OEKO-TEX® certified. All inks are eco-friendly and OEKO-TEX certified, meaning they are free from harmful substances.
