A Guide To Starling Cycles Frame Colours

Starling Cycles frames come in a whole load of different colours.

Our Core frames (Murmur, Mega Murmur, Mini Murmur and Twist and Mega Twist) come in set colours that change every batch or two.

These are painted in the EU by our manufacturer before delivery, so we keep the options tight – typically just two or three options.

Our RARE frames, those weird and wonderful one-offs, are painted in the UK. This allows for loads more options and a chance to really make your frame something unique. The same goes for our Custom geometry frames; they’re also UK-made so come with more paint options.

Seen something else in the wild that’s not shown here? It’s possible it’s a custom colour, was painted by one of our international dealers or was a DIY by a customer.

Remember, Starling frames can be repainted, which means you’re not locked into one colour forever. When your frame gets tired, return it to us, and we’ll give it a refurb, some new bearings, new graphics and a fresh coat of paint in the colour of your choice.

Note – metallic colours have a slight metallic fleck to them.

We’ve created this blog to make it a little easier to understand what our various colour options look like.

Stainless

The only way to get an unpainted Starling frame, other than RAW IPA.

Not a paint colour, obviously. This option has cropped up on various models throughout the years – most notably the Roost and Murmur Stainless.

Keep an eye out for these popping up second hand or, maybe, at some point again in future.
