The Starling Cycles Twist is our take on the mullet with a monster-truck 29″ wheel up front and a fast, fun 27.5″ wheel out back.
With 135mm or 165mm of rear travel, mullet wheels and plenty of tyre clearance, it’s built to party.
The 29″ front wheel offers a ton of stability for monster trucking through rough terrain. The 27.5″ wheel will slash turns, whip through your tightest and techiest and guarantee that speed goes hand-in-hand with fun.
And now, for Autumn 2022 and beyond, introducing V3 of the Starling Cycles Twist.
V3 brings a whole heap of subtle but significant updates. We’ve combined ‘Enduro’ and ‘Trail’ models with a simple solution to combine both options into one frame, using an adjustable shock mount. The seat angle has been steepened for a better pedaling position and we’ve raised the BB a touch to add manoeuvrability.
We also now have an aluminium insert in the seat tube to stop seized posts, a stronger anti-flare headtube, a better-looking asymmetrical headtube gusset and we’ve moved the main pivot to the swing arm for a wider interface. Last but not least, we have a new cast main pivot part, which is neater and stronger than ever.

Switch Trail to Enduro mode: Murmur, Twist and Swoop frames are now built to fit 210mm and 230mm shocks using an adjustable shock mount, allowing Trail and Enduro modes on a single frame. No need to change your frame to go up or down travel, simply swap your shock position and switch fork/shock to suit.
